TOUR PROGRAM:

 

Day 1 . CORFU TOWN

Flight Corfu. We will settle in a hotel. Then in Corfu town we will explore the old fort, the largest square in Europe, admire the Liston, a street built in imitation of Rue de Rivoli, learn how important St. Spyridon is to the Corfiots and what the “Bolsheviks” are. We will wander through the narrow streets of the old town, which resemble Venice, and visit one of the most beautiful and important monasteries on the island, Vlacherna Monastery. Perhaps we will sail to the Mouse Island.

Dinner in the city (on your own).

Overnight at the hotel. 

Day 2 . PAXOS ANTIPAXOS ISLANDS.

Breakfast at the hotel.

Free time or sailing to the islands of Paxos and Antipaxos*. This is one of the most wonderful boat trips – exploring caves, swimming in emerald water in good weather, wandering the narrow streets of the island, and tasting delicious dishes.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 . DOUKADES. SOKRAKI. KLIMATIA. PANTOKRATOR, KASSIOPI

Breakfast at the hotel.

Excursion to the north of the island. We will walk through the old village of Doukades and taste oven-baked Greek cakes at a local cafe.

Sokraki is a small traditional Corfiot village, which is already two thousand years old. We will visit an olive wood workshop, chat with its owner, taste Greek coffee, and maybe a little something else?

We will ascend along a spectacular winding mountain road to Klimatia. Here is the largest cave on the island – the Antropograva Cave.

The highest mountain on the island is Pantokrator, and on it is a monastery where no monks live. We will find out what is special about this monastery and why the monks left it? We will swim in the sea. We will return to the hotel along the coast of Kassiopi.

Day 4 . CORFU LUNCH

Breakfast at the hotel.

Excursion to the south of the island. We will see the oldest olive tree on the island, participate in olive oil and Corfiot wine tastings at one of the best-rated olive oil presses and family wineries praised by wine connoisseurs. Along the way, we will swim at one of the very beautiful sandy beaches. 

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 . PALEOKASTRITSA, LAKONES, PELEKAS CORFU – AIRPORT

Breakfast at the hotel.

Paleokastritsa, translated from ancient Greek as “Old Fortress”, is the jewel of Corfu. We will visit one of the oldest monasteries on the island. From a high mountain we will look down on a heart-shaped beach. We will swim in the emerald water.

We will visit the old village of Pelekas and Kaiser Wilhelm II’s observation deck – the Kaiser’s Throne, from which the entire island can be seen. 

After the tour, we will drive to the airport.

Flight by plane from Corfu back home.

Plane tickets  –  (price  start from 230 EUR).

(*) Boat excursion to the islands of Paxos and Antipaxos – 45 EUR, – exact prices will be announced when the tourist season begins.

Entrance tickets to paid facilities.  

Wine tasting: EUR 10 per person – payable on site.

Resort fees are payable locally (approximately 0.5 EUR per day/person).

  • Airline tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable, and name changes are subject to an additional fee.
  • Single room supplement – EUR 100
  • The tour program, order of visiting objects, number of paid objects, and prices may change.
  • Minimum group size is 12 travelers. Maximum number of travelers is 14. If there are fewer travelers, the price of the trip may change.
  • It is necessary to have comfortable shoes suitable for walking in the hills, sunscreen, and a hat.
 

When traveling to Greece, it is necessary to have an identity card or passport valid for 6 months after the trip. Non-EU citizens must arrange for additional documents or visas themselves.
