Even the children would like to return to Corfu Island
We recommend things to do on Corfu that could be more interesting than fiddling with your phone or splashing around in the hotel pool.
1. AQUALAND WATER PARK. Almost in the heart of the island. It is one of the largest water parks in Europe. Both young and old are invited to spend the whole day there.
Transportation is organized from accommodations or designated locations throughout the island. This is very convenient if you don’t have a car and want to visit there.

- CORFU AQUARIUM. It is located at the foot of the Paleokastritsa monastery, so combining a visit to the monastery with entertainment for children is really easy. Entrance is only with a local guide, who shows and tells about the sea animals kept there.
We recommend reserving a time in advance, because once you arrive, especially during the hot season, you may not be able to get a seat.

- LA GROTTA. For those who like diving and are already quite grown up with extreme sensations, La Grotta bar is recommended. It is near Paleokastritsa, now with larger signs. By the way, there are 142 steps to go down to it, and climbing back up would be more difficult. This is a bar in a cave, where you can refresh yourself with drinks or have a snack (by the way, the food has improved a lot and is now recommended). You can dive, climb a rope onto a cliff and from there improve your diving skills. Also, a footbridge has been opened since last year, from which a small boat sails along the shores of Paleokastritsa (Michalis boat rental).

- BLACK ROSE PIRATE SHIP. Feel like a pirate! From Corfu Town, from the old port, the black pirate ship BLACK ROSE has been sailing for a couple of years. It sails along the shores of Corfu Town, 4 times a day, lasting over an hour. A real joy for children, while parents can look at the picturesque shores of Corfu Town.

- HANS & GRETEL ICE CREAM. When you’re walking around Corfu town in the heat, you really want something cold, right?
Stop with the kids at the Hans&Gretel ice cream parlor. Just off Spianada Square, opposite the oldest tavern in Corfu, Chrisomalis. The ice cream parlor will be opened by a cute witch standing right in front of the door. Believe me, you will want to buy ice cream there.

- CASA PARLANTE MUSEUM. If you are walking around Corfu Town, just opposite the ice cream parlor, there is a museum located in a 19th century noble mansion, opened in March 2014. With animated figures and old furniture, this museum presents the daily life of a noble family living in Corfu in the 19th century: here the count reads the newspaper, the countess welcomes guests for tea, children play music, a cook prepares food in the kitchen and other scenes of everyday life from the 19th century.

- PATOUNIS SOAP FACTORY. In Corfu Town, visit the oldest soap factory in Greece, you can even book an educational soap-making class in advance. Soap is still made here by hand with tools and equipment that have been in operation since 1891. And how about – you can try it yourself. I recommend booking an educational class in advance.

- DONKEY FARM. Are you driving around the northern part of Corfu and the kids are bored? Stop by the donkey farm. You won’t be allowed to ride there, but they will let you pet them, brush their hair, and tell you about donkey life. The donkeys are already old, and they were once the main means of transportation and work on the island.
If you want, you can support it with money – this is a private donkey shelter, unfortunately, the state does not support it.

- There are more and more horse riding centers on the island. Let the children pet the horse, sit on it. It’s so fun to be closer to the animals.

- The Blue Lagoon and the islands of Sivota and Antipaxos – you can reach them by boat. It’s a full day trip. But for kids, the most fun part is swimming and diving in the turquoise waters or even diving from the boat in secret.
Usually ships start sailing from mid-May.
- PONTIKONISI AND KANONI Be sure to take the kids to Kanoni, on the bridge, where you can see planes landing. Experience that feeling
.
AND MANY MORE SANDY BEACHES, FRESH WARM SEAS!
