Corfu villages and Pantokrator

During the tour:

  • We will walk through old villages;
  • Greek picnic by a small waterfall.
  • We will climb the highest mountain of the island, Pantokrator;
  • We will drink on the east coast of the island.
 

We will travel to the north of the country.

Through the mountain village of Ano Korakiana (we will stop at an old and abandoned church that the Greeks are renovating and renovating) we will ascend along a beautiful winding old road to the village of Sokraki .

On the way, we will definitely stop at the old 16th century chapel. It is said that Saint Isidore protects everyone who travels this dangerous road, because there have never been any accidents.

We will drink Greek coffee in the old kafenia. We will look around the olive wood crafts factory and shop of local olive wood craftsman Stelios.

We will take a short walk through the forest to a beautiful spot above a small waterfall. We will stop for a picnic.

We will continue to the highest mountain on the island, Pantokrator, and on it is a monastery where no monks live. We will learn what is special about this monastery and why the monks left it.

We will visit the northwestern port village of Kassiopi, where you will learn its history and how Kassiopi is connected to the Roman emperor Nero and the famous seducer of women, Casanova.
